Honey Chipotle Beer Braised Wings Recipe
Have you ever noticed how bold chiptole peppers are? They are all in your face saying “hello I am right here”. Kind of like Jovi does when she thinks I am not paying enough attention to her. When I opened the oven to turn the chicken wings over my face was blasted with the smell of chiptole. Not that that is a bad thing. Just like Jovi’s cold nose nudge, the boldness of the chiptole pepper is always welcome.

Ingredients you will need to recreate this recipe:
24 chicken wings
1/8 cup soy sauce
1 Tbsp honey mustard
1 1/2 Tbsp pureed chipotle in adobo
1 1/2 Tbsp honey
12 ounces lager beer
Preheat your oven for 350 degrees
Start with making the sauce. Add in a large bowl the soy sauce, honey mustard, chipotle peppers, honey and beer. Whisk until mixed.
Next coat the wings in the sauce and place in a glass cooking pan. Pour the rest of the sauce over the wings and place in the oven for 2 hours. You will want to baste the wings every 30 minutes or so.
The wings are surprisingly crisp considering they baked in liquid. The wings turned out divine with a nice charred coating and a flavorful smokiness from the chilies. The meat was also tender and fall of the bone excellent!
